Burning Mouth Syndrome

This is a chronic pain syndrome characterized by altered sensation that may affect any area of the mouth, but most often is localized to the lips, roof of the mouth and tongue. While a burning sensation is the most common complaint, changes in taste and texture sensation are also reported.
