X-Rays

Many diseases of the teeth and surrounding tissues cannot be seen when your dentist examines your mouth. An x-ray (radiograph) examination may reveal:
1) Small areas of decay between the teeth or below existing restorations (fillings)
2) Infections in the bone
3) Periodontal (gum) disease
4) Abscesses or cysts
5) Developmental abnormalities
6) Some types of tumors
